Trail of Tears. American Native Indians and the Wild Horses – A Tribute.

~

persian27Betrayal: The Battle of Horseshoe Bend set the stage and cast many of the actors for one of the darkest periods in American history. For not 24 years after the Cherokee warriors turned the tide in favor of their American allies at the famous battle on the Tallapoosa, Jackson betrayed them and ordered the removal of the Cherokee Nation from their homeland along the “Trail of Tears,” thus inflicting one of the most horrible campaigns of genocide in world history.

Oh, Great Spirit, whose Voice I hear in the Winds, and whose Breath gives life to everyone, Hear Us.

At one of BLM’s most recent Bloody Roundups on November 6, 2010, another Beautiful Wild Stallion Broke his neck trying to escape the trap and was left on the ground writhing in fear and agony for 30 minutes, while the BLM Contractors decided it was more important to block the view of the cruelty from the cameras, than it was to attend to the dying horse.   BlM’s latest Bloody Roundup is exposed HERE.

Like the indigenous peoples of the several non-reservation tribes of the former Indian Territory who have no reservation or land on which to reside for the most part the former Indian Ponies and Wild Mustangs of these several tribal affiliations are also now in a state of refugee status with no place to call their own as well. This can be exemplified in the recent atrocities and onslaughts committed by the Department of Interior’s, Bureau of Land Management roundups in the various western states of the United States where many of the last bands and herds of Isoba Mahli (Wind Horse) were attempting to survive but were subjected to untold hardships by the recent spate of roundups.

  1. And a Mighty Wind Spirit of the Horse Blessed by the powerful wrath of Creator Great Spirit will drive the helicopters from the skies!
The Mighty Thunderbird rumbles from sky to the ground!
He sends lightning bolts to destroy those who murder our big brothers the horse and our little brothers the mule…
White Buffalo Woman will protect Her innocents!
The earthly children of all races!
Her Sentient Beings of every description She shall Bless
    and protect…

  2. Like I said on the BLM horse and burro (killers) website many times: The BLM is not to be trusted. Look how they robbed the Native Americans land and broke many treaties.
Now they are doing the same thing to the horses
I wish the BLM would disband
they round up 40,000 wild horses and stick us with the bill (70 million)and lie to us and say there is no food and water.
    We know thats not true

  3. I found this “poem” when I was tracking down Wild Horses information. I liked it and I like to share it. I do not know the author.

Let Me Run Boys, Let Me Be
    By Bobbi Hall, Whitefish, MT

Loping across the prairie beneath sunburnt crags,
My Strides easily carry me fifteen feet or more.
Moving on a steady three beat canter,
The wind lifts my mane and tail.

Iron rails have carved my sagebrush,
White man’s barbs have fenced my land.
I’m forced the way of the Indian,
A refuge, man has made my home.

But, I fight for my freedom,
Hiding in junipers, running from man’s unforgiving guns.
    Trying to meet another sunset.
A moment at a time, I am forced to live.

Echoes of my hoofbeats still fill the prairie air.
    Fleeing with muscles now tired.
My heart pounds in my ears, deafening me to the sound of bullets.
Thrown by men who cannot share.

    Outnumbered, out gunned, speechless.
My story I can not tell —-
My freedom I can not defend.
I have to rely on my cunning
And hope I have some man friends.

    Now ear-marked for destruction,
The Man has signed his name.
Death will soon start its harvest.
    Planes, ranchers, and hunters
Will slaughter my harem, my get, and me.

Call me mustang, call me bronco
Call me cayuse, but please call me free.
In the name of God and nature,
Let me run boys, let me be.
