Our mission is to save the lives of all members of the equine family. We not only rescue but help people in situations where all they need is education. We love to come out and teach about proper horse care for those who are only un-educated but love their horses. Understanding that not every hose that is in poor condition is the result of torture but just horse owners that may be going through a rough time or not know how to care for a horse, is what we are all about. Won’t You Help! LDEP (Lonesome Dove Equine Protection could use your help. Many of our rescues are seniors and some are not adoptable but will live out their remainder years of life on our sanctuary. LDEP is a place where unwanted and abandoned animals can recover from abuse and neglect and receive a second chance until they can be adopted into permanent homes .
